Lee Castana '00 (Football)
was one of Gannon' best football student-athletes of all-time, especially when it came to combining athletics and academics. The three-year letterwinner was a two-time Academic All-District II selection, being named to the first team as a junior and the second team as a sophomore. He was also a two-time All-American, being named to the Football Gazette honorable-mention team as a sophomore and junior.

Castana graduated as Gannon's all-time leader in receptions (104), receiving yards (1,830) and 100-yard receiving games (6). He also ended his career with Gannon's all-time single-season records in receiving yards (807 in 1997) and 100-yard receiving games (4 in 1997). He held the top two single-game reception totals in school history with 12 catches against Canisius in 1997 and 11 receptions against Albany in 1996 until Justin Caliste tied the record this past season. Castana still holds the Gannon record for receiving yards in a game with 266 against Canisius in 1997. Upon graduation, he was fourth all-time at Gannon with 1,867 career all-purpose yards and owned the top two single-season all-purpose yardage totals.
