Hall of Fame
The 1965-66 season was an unforgettable year in Gannon basketball history for more reasons than one. Thus, the 1965-66 Gannon men's basketball team was an honorary induction during the 1986 ceremony. The final record in 1965-66 was 20-3, equaling a winning percentage of .870 which ranked No. 1 in team performances as of the 1986 induction. The three losses tied with the record low set by Joe Pizzat's first team in 1944-45. Gannon got off to a fast start, beating Detroit, Fredonia, and Villa Madonna by averaging 99.3 points per game and winning by an average of 37 points per game.
