Hall of Fame
The 1968-69 Gannon men's basketball team was an honorary induction at the 1985 ceremony. Under head coach John Bayer, Gannon won the NAIA District 18 title and was the first Gannon squad to advance beyond a regional playoff to a National Tournament. This team captured its first NAIA game in Kansas City, downing Jackson State of Mississippi 81-58, before bowing out in overtime to Henderson State of Arkansas 80-78 in the second round. Gannon's 1968-89 team broke 10 records along the way, including six that still stood as of the 1985 ceremony. The Golden Knights finished 24-6.
