Charles Doane '09
(Men's Water Polo) becomes the first men's water polo student-athlete ever inducted into the Gannon Athletics Hall of Fame. He remains the only All-American in program history, earning a first-team distinction as a junior in 2004. A three-time All-CWPA honoree, Doane was part of Gannon's second-ever varsity water polo team and led Gannon to double-digit victories during each of his first three seasons. He later came back to the program as an assistant coach in 2011.

The Salt Lake City, Utah, native is still Gannon's all-time leader in career goals (287) and drawn penalties (133). Doane graduated second in career steals (206) and fifth in career assists (75). His post-graduate accomplishments include the Utah Open Water Triple Crown where he completed swims across the eight-mile Great Salt Lake, the seven-mile Bear Lake and the 10-mile Deer Creek Reservoir.
