Colin Petersen '01 (Men's Soccer) recorded 35 goals, 22 assists and 92 points as a four-year starter. The high-scoring forward was a two-time all-region selection as a freshman and senior, as well as a two-time All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) first-team honoree during his final two seasons. He ranks 11th all-time at Gannon in points, 11th in goals and 13th in assists. Petersen's best season came during the 1993 campaign, when he recorded 13 goals, six assists and 32 points.

The Vereeniging, South Africa, native helped Gannon advance to the NCAA Division II Final Four during his freshman season in 1993. After his playing days, Petersen became the Gannon women's soccer head coach in 2002. He is the winningest and longest-tenured head coach in the 30-year history of the Gannon women's soccer program. As the only coach in school history to lead the program for more than five years, Petersen has a school-record 128 career coaching victories.
