Hall of Fame
The 1974-75 Gannon men's basketball team was an honorary inductee during the 1989 ceremony. The '74-75 Knights played their way to the NCAA College Division Elite Eight, before having their season ended by Assumption. It was only the fourth loss for the Knights against 25 wins, which was second at the time of induction only to the 28 wins recorded by the 1986-87 team which went to the national finals. The highlights of the season stretched from end to end, climaxing with the NCAA East Regional championship and a trip to the Nationals in Evansville, a school first. Along the way, there were such notable achievements such as winning the Middle Eastern College Athletic Association title in the Knights' first year in the league, an all-time high (at the time) 25 wins, a perfect 19-0 home record, and a stunning upset of Duquesne. Then, there were such individual accomplishments as Gerald Walker's career scoring mark and subsequent selection to the All-America team.
