2012-13: Redshirted … went 5-6 with two pins while wrestling unattached at the Mercyhurst Open, Cleveland State Open and Lake Erie Open … began the season with a 1-2 mark at the Mercyhurst Open, pinning Lake Erie’s Robert Rhodes in six minutes and 55 seconds during his first match of the wrestlebacks … split four matches at both the Cleveland State Open and Lake Erie Open … began the Cleveland State Open with consecutive victories against Mitch Mickovic of Notre Dame (Ohio) (10-2) and Nate Skonieczny of John Carroll (5-4) … recorded his second pin during the Lake Erie Open, ending the match against Josh Beemer of Notre Dame (Ohio) in two minutes and one second.
