Expected to compete at 141 for the third consecutive season as a junior in 2018-19.
2017-18: Recorded a 5-6 record in the 141-pound division ... Notched two pins at the Mount Union Invitational, the first against Mount Union's Robert Cobb (4:34) and the second coming against Ohio Northern's Jevyn Pratt (1:59) ... also recorded a pin against Davenport's Joey Orr in 5:20 at the Lake Erie Storm Open.Â
2016-17: Competed at 141 as a true freshman … named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete … earned his first career victory during the opening round of the Mount Union Open … split four matches at the Jamestown Jayhawk Open ... recorded his first career pin during the first match of the Jamestown Jayhawk Open … defeated Mount Union’s Taylor Komives en route to a sixth-place finish at the John Carroll Open.
High School: Wrestled for head coach Tony DiGorgio at South Allegheny (Pa.) High School … produced a 119-31 career record … won the sectional championship all four years … was a four-time conference and regional qualifier … recorded finishes of second, third, fourth and seventh at the conference championships … qualified for the Super 32 … helped South Allegheny win the Carrick Duals title twice … was part of a South Allegheny team that finished runner-up at the sectional championships … received the Certificate of Distinction given to those in the top 15 percent of their class … graduated magna cum laude with a 4.0 grade point average … was a member of the National Honor Society for two years.
Personal: Engineering major … is the son of Jessica and Jesse … has three brothers and one sister … earned the Provost Achievement Award at Gannon.
