Gannon sophomore utility
Victor Volant (Fuveau, France/) has earned WWPA Offensive Player of the Week honors following his standout performance at the WWPA Bearcat Classic this past weekend.
Volant led the Golden Knights to a 3–1 showing, highlighted by a pair of crucial conference victories over Salem and host McKendree.
He totaled 13 goals and two assists across four games, including a six-goal, one-assist effort in a 21–15 win over Salem, snapping a seven-game losing streak against the Tigers and handing them their first WWPA loss since joining the league. Volant followed that up with a five-goal performance in a 15–14 win over McKendree that helped Gannon improve to 2–0 in WWPA play.
He also contributed two goals and two steals in a narrow loss to Augustana and added an assist with two steals in a 14–12 win over Ottawa (Ariz.).
Thanks to Volant's efforts, Gannon now sits atop the WWPA East Division standings after a successful weekend.
