Mohacsi Named WWPA Defensive Player of the Week

Gannon goalkeeper Bator Mohacsi (Budapest, Hungary/) has been named the Western Water Polo Association Defensive Player of the Week following a standout performance at the Erie Invitational, earning the first WWPA weekly honor of his career.

Mohacsi was a steadying force in net, finishing the three-game weekend with 28 total saves and a .560 save percentage while helping the Golden Knights return to .500 on the season. He highlighted his effort with 12 saves in a 24–14 win over Penn State Behrend and added seven more in a 24–11 victory against Mercyhurst.

Mohacsi also stopped nine shots while holding Washington & Jefferson to just two first-half goals in a 22–7 triumph.
