Golden Knights Stick With, But Can't Outlast Navy

THE GAME FACTS

  • Final Score: Navy 18, Gannon 12

  • Records: Navy (14-7), Gannon (9-8)

  • Location: Hallman Aquatics Center Pool

  • Date: October 18th, 2025

ERIE, PA - Gannon hung tough for the entirety of their home battle against Navy. But, an early run from the Midshipmen was too much for the Golden Knights to overcome in a close loss on Alumni Day.

THE KNIGHT CAP

  • An Early Struggle: The toughest part of the game for the Golden Knights was the start. Navy would tally the first five goals of the contest in the opening six minutes. GU would respond with three in a row of their own, but trailed 6-3 entering the second period.

  • Multiple Contributors: Gannon had seven of attackers find the back in the net during the game. Captain Alexandros Kotskar (Voula, Greece/Athinaiki Agogh) led the way in goals, totaling three and securing five points.

  • In Goal: Bator Mohacsi (Budapest, Hungary/) made 13 saves, allowing 18 goals in the loss. He faced 34 total shots and recorded a steal in the game.

  • Special Teams Struggles: Gannon had twelve power play opportunities in the game, but managed to score just one. The Golden Knights did kill off seven of the nine man advantage attempts for the Midshipmen.

THE NEXT GAME

Gannon prepares for arguably their biggest tournament of the season to date. They'll make the trip to take part in the Salem Invitational, facing WWPA foes McKendree and Salem at 12:30 and 5:30 pm on Saturday, October 25th.
