O'FALLON, IL - Saturday morning marked a titanic moment in the men's water polo season: a victory over WWPA top team Salem. Gannon snapped a seven game skid against the Tigers, and picked up a key conference win. Gannon would split the days games after a loss to Augustana in the afternoon tilt.

GAME 1
  • Dominant Start: Gannon scored the first five goals of the game and never looked back. Nikiforos Liantziris (Athens, Greece/) tallied the first goal and Petar Markovic (Belgrade, Serbia/) scored twice during the 5-0 sprint. 

  • Even Dozen: Gannon had a six goal lead at the half (12-6), and once led by as many as nine goals. The Golden Knights outshot the Tigers, 39-37. 

  • Victor's Victory: Victor Volant (Fuveau, France/) led the team with six goals on the morning. Alexandros Kotskar (Voula, Greece/Athinaiki Agogh) added four, as did Dillon Shaw (Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline).
