The Gannon women's basketball team concludes the 2010-11 season Saturday evening at the Hammermill when they take on the Golden Eagles of Clarion in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m. It marks the first time in 14 seasons that the Lady Knights have failed to reach the postseason.

Gannon leads the all-time series over Clarion 24-14, winning the last seven match-ups with the Golden Eagles. Gannon defeated Clarion at W.S. Tippin Gymnasium earlier this season by an 80-66 score. The last loss to the Golden Eagles came during the 1994-95 season at the Hammermill Center.

Julie Kleber (Suffern, N.Y. / Suffern) looks to finish her career on a high note, as the senior has been one of the most productive offensive players for Gannon during the final month of the season. Kleber has scored double-digit points in the last 10 straight games, pouring in 21 during Wednesday's win over Slippery Rock. Shanna Thompson (Shaker Heights, Ohio / Shaker Heights) will also be playing in the final game of her Gannon career.

The young Clarion line-up features four true freshmen in the starting line-up. In fact, all five of the Golden Eagles top scorers are freshmen with Lauren Savulchak averaging 8.9 points off the bench. Of the five, four of the Clarion freshmen have been named Western Division Freshman of the Week at some point during the season. Emma Fickel has earned the honor twice, while also being named Player of the Week once.
