Gannon senior guard Bri Claxon (South Webster, Ohio/South Webster) has been named to the 2025-26 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team following another standout season leading the Golden Knights.

Claxon has helped guide No. 7 Gannon to a 28-4 overall record and an 18-2 mark in PSAC West play during the 2025-26 season. The senior guard leads the Golden Knights in scoring at 16.2 points per game and has totaled 519 points this season.

A three-time All-PSAC West honoree after earning first team accolades in 2025-26, Claxon is one of only four Gannon players to earn All-PSAC honors three-or-more times and one of only three to earn first team honors three times. She was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Year in 2023 and has helped lead Gannon to a 28-4 record and a fifth-place ranking in the WBCA Top 25 this season.

Claxon has climbed into fifth place in program history in career scoring with 1,812 points and also ranks sixth in career three-pointers made with 189. She leads Gannon in scoring for the second straight season at 16.2 points per game, good for fifth in the PSAC.

The senior guard has emerged as Gannon's top three-point threat, making 53-of-163 attempts from beyond the arc while shooting 81.8 percent from the free-throw line (54-of-66). She has scored in double figures in 26 of 32 games this season, including 11 games of 20-or-more points.

Claxon continues to add to her legacy in the Gannon record books. She became just the third Golden Knight in program history to score 500-or-more points in three different seasons, joining Rona Nesbit and Kristin Roseberry.

Claxon has also played a key role in the continued success of the program, helping Gannon reach back-to-back NCAA Division II Elite Eight appearances.

For just the third time in program history, Gannon has had three 1,000-point scorers on the same roster. Claxon leads the group with 1,812 career points, while junior Kate Ratliff (Canal Winchester, Ohio/Canal Winchester) recently surpassed the 1,000-point mark and now has 1,071 career points. Maddy Wheatley (Canberra, Australia/UCSSC Lake Ginninderra) also eclipsed 1,000 points earlier this season.

Claxon was one of five players selected to the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team. Concord senior forward Abbie Smith was named the D2CCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year after averaging 18.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game while leading the Mountain East Conference in rebounding, field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage and double-doubles.

The Golden Knights will open NCAA Atlantic Regional play on Friday, March 13 against Erie County rival Edinboro at 2:30 p.m. Indiana (Pa.) will host the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Atlantic Regional, scheduled for March 13–14 and March 16 inside the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex.
