ATLANTA, Ga. – Gannon women's basketball senior guard

The senior guard from South Webster, Ohio concluded her four-year career with 1,841 points, ranking fifth in program history, while also finishing sixth in program history in total three-pointers made with 190.
Claxon led the Golden Knights in scoring this season at 16.1 points per game, ranking fifth in the PSAC. She emerged as Gannon's top three-point threat, connecting on 54-of-170 attempts from beyond the arc while shooting 83.3 percent from the free-throw line (60-of-72). She scored in double figures in 27 of 34 games, including 12 performances of 20-or-more points.
Continuing to build her legacy in the Gannon record books, Claxon became just the third Golden Knight in program history to score 500-or-more points in three different seasons, joining Rona Nesbit and Kristin Roseberry, after totaling 548 points as a senior, 529 as a junior, and 500 as a sophomore.
A four-time All-PSAC West honoree, Claxon earned first team accolades in 2025-26 and is one of only four Gannon players to earn All-PSAC honors three-or-more times. She is also one of just three players in program history to earn first team honors three times. She was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Year in 2023.
Claxon was recently named to the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team, further solidifying her status as one of the top performers in the region.
Claxon helped lead Gannon to a 29-5 record this season and a No. 7 ranking in the WBCA Top 25, guiding the Golden Knights to another standout year on the national stage.
Claxon was joined by Mia Kalich (Seton Hill) and Nyshae' Weaver (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) as the PSAC representatives on the WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches' All-America Honorable Mention list.
The 2026 WBCA NCAA Division II Player of the Year was Natalie Bremer of Minnesota State University, Mankato, while Grand Valley State's Mike Williams was named the WBCA NCAA Division II Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
