Biography
Kleber is expected to start this season, after coming off the bench as a junior. The senior was selected to the Preseason All-Pennsylvaia State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Team. Kleber returns for her fifth season, making her the most experienced player on the roster. The Suffern, N.Y., native has flourished in her new leadership role during the off-season. Kleber is explosive in her ability to get to the rim. Her shooting ability will be key to Gannon’s success this season.
2009-10 Season: Played in every game (38) … was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … led the PSAC in three-point field goal percentage (45.2) after shooting 56-of-124 from behind the arc … is Gannon’s top returning scorer after averaging 8.6 points while shooting 44.4 percent (111-of-250) … finished second on the team in three-point field goals made (56) … played a season-high 35 minutes in the NCAA Division II semifinal game against Emporia State, scoring 10 points … reached double-digit points in 14 games last season … led the team in scoring against St. Thomas Aquinas (14) and Slippery Rock (14,13) twice … set a career mark in both free throws made and attempted after going 8-for-11 against Edinboro … dished out a career-high seven assists against Bloomsburg … scored a season-high 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting from behind the arc with two blocks and three assists against Alaska Fairbanks … pulled down seven rebounds in the NCAA Atlantic Regional semifinal game against Seton Hill … averaged 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
2008-09 Season: Was one of five Lady Knights to play in every game, starting three ... earned PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors ... averaged 13.3 points while shooting 67.9 percent (19-28) from the floor during the first four games ... reached double digits in scoring during those four contests ... posted career-highs in points (18) and rebounds (7) against West Virginia Wesleyan during her first career start ... also made starts against Salem International and Holy Family ... pulled down seven rebounds against Holy Family and Shippensburg ... was fourth on the team in free throw percentage, hitting 78 percent (18-23) of her attempts.
2007-08 Season: Played in 27 games as a redshirt freshman ... named to the GLIAC All-Academic team ... played more minutes as the season wore on, logging at least 10 minutes in each of the final 13 games ... scored a season-high 13 points in the last two games of the season against Mercyhurst and Ashland ... hit 10-of-21 shots, including 4-of-9 from three-point range, in those two games ... scored first career points during a victory at Wheeling Jesuit in the second game of the season.
2006-07 Season: Redshirted.
High School: Played for Ryan Phelps at Suffern (N.Y.) High School ... earned all-conference, all-section and team MVP honors as a senior ... was a Section I Fab 50 selection after netting 12.8 points per game in 2005-06 ... reached double digits in scoring 12 times ... scored a season-high 22 points during a victory against Monroe-Woodbury ... recorded 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 steals and two assists per game as a junior ... shot 38 percent (20-53) from three-point range in 2004-05 ... was a two-time Pearl River Tournament MVP ... selected Suffern High School athlete of the week twice ... played for the AAU team that won the gold medal at the 2005 Empire State Games ... was a member of the honor roll and History Honor Society.
