ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon swimming and diving teams host Fredonia State in the final home dual meet of the season tonight (December 9) at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion. The meet is scheduled for start at 5 p.m.
Tonight's meet will be Senior Night as 10 Gannon student-athletes will be participating in the final home meet of their collegiate careers. The seniors to be honored from the women's program include
Kaitlyn Bosy (Courtice, Ontario/Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary),
Colleen Harriger (Erie, Pa./McDowell),
Laurel Martinez (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) and
Diana Rocco (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley). The men's seniors include
Alex Dovale (Cape Town, South Africa/South African College),
Jared Griffard (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Coeur d'Alene),
Jason Jamieson (Cape Town, South Africa/Rondebosch),
Mike Kneidinger (Erie, Pa./McDowell),
James Lilly (Bowie, Md./Bowie) and
Phil Myrick (Erie, Pa./McDowell).
The Gannon women's swimming and diving team brings a 7-3 dual record into tonight's match-up. The Lady Knights have won four of their last five dual meets. The squad is coming off second-place finish out of 10 teams at the Mid-Season Invitational.
The Gannon men's swimming and diving team owns a 4-4 dual record, following a 155-138 victory against Penn State Behrend in its last dual outing. The Golden Knights finished fourth out of 10 teams at last weekend's Mid-Season Invitational.
