EDINBORO, Pa. – The Gannon swimming & diving teams split a road dual meet with Edinboro on Friday evening, as the Golden Knight men earned a convincing victory while the women came up just short in a tightly contested matchup.
The Gannon men controlled the meet from start to finish, claiming multiple event wins and depth points on the way to a 131.5–73.5 victory. On the women's side, several strong individual performances kept Gannon within reach, but Edinboro took the 107–98 decision.
THE KNIGHT CAP
• Men's Relay Strength: The quartet of Jakub Loboda, Nick Ambrosiani, Ben Ambrosiani, and Nikita Poparcea won the 200 Free Relay in 1:25.19 to close the meet.
• Distance Dominance: Kaidan Helmeczi (Mount Wolf, PA/Northeastern Senior High School) (10:14.24) and Dexter Jones (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) (10:20.26) went 1-2 for Gannon in the 1000 Free. Manny Cisneros added a win in the 500 Free (4:53.17).
