Sazama helped the Gannon volleyball team defeat Edinboro earlier this week, before Gannon fell in five sets to Mercyhurst. Sazama led Gannon in kills (10) and digs (13) during the three-game sweep of Edinboro. The sophomore also added one block assist and one ace. Against Mercyhurst, Sazama again led the team in kills (11) while tying for a team high in digs (19). The 19 digs represented a new career-high, breaking her previous mark of 17 set against Clarion last season. Sazama also had three of the team’s seven aces and two block assists. She averaged four digs per set and 2.63 kills per set.
