Joseph led the Gannon women's swim team to a fourth-place finish out of 13 teams last weekend at the 2012 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships. It marked the program's highest conference finish since placing fourth at the 2009 PSAC Championships. Joseph recorded six NCAA "B" cut times and broke a school record during her individual events, as well as being part of two relay teams that recorded NCAA "B" cut times. The true freshman produced NCAA "B" cut times during both the prelims and finals of the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle. She broke the school record in the 100-yard freestyle with a prelim time of 51.78 seconds, before resetting it with a 51.72 time in the finals for a fourth-place finish. Joseph captured a silver medal in the 200-yard freestyle with NCAA "B" cut times in both the prelims (1:53.27) and the finals (1:52.51). She finished ninth during her other individual event, posting times of 24.58 (prelims) and 24.44 (finals) in the 50-yard freestyle. The McDonald, Ohio, native was tremendous during the relay events. She helped both the 200-yard freestyle and 400-yard freestyle relay teams record NCAA "B" cut teams while having an individual NCAA "B" cut time of her own while swimming her leg during both events. Her 23.72 50-yard freestyle time helped the 200-yard freestyle team finish fourth with a time of one minute and 36.82 seconds. Her 51.15 100-yard freestyle time helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team finish fifth with a time of three minutes and 31.93 seconds. Joseph also competed with the 800-yard freestyle relay team (8th, 7:50.14/1:55.78) and the 400-yard medley relay team (7th, 3:57.16/51.44).
