Chrzanowski led the Gannon men's swim team to a second-place finish out of seven teams last weekend at the 2012 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships. It marked the highest conference finish in school history. Chrzanowski recorded seven NCAA "B" cut times and broke a school record during his individual events, as well as being part of two relay teams that recorded an NCAA "B" cut time and set another school record. The true freshman broke the school's 200-yard backstroke record with a 1:54.21 time during the prelims, before resetting the record with a 1:53.81 time during the finals. Both marks met NCAA "B" cut standards and helped capture a silver medal. Chrzanowski took home a bronze medal in the 500-yard freestyle, securing NCAA "B" cut times in both the prelims (4:38.87) and the finals (4:37.63). He finished seventh during his other individual event, swimming the 1,000-yard freestyle in nine minutes and 49.10 seconds. The Erie, Pa., native was tremendous during relay events. He helped the 200-yard freestyle, 400-yard freestyle and the 800-yard freestyle teams capture a medal. The 800-yard freestyle relay team set a school record with a second-place time of 6:56.05 as Chrzanowski met an individual NCAA "B" cut with a 1:41.29 time during his 200-yard freestyle leg. The 400-yard freestyle relay team captured a bronze medal with an NCAA "B" cut time of three minutes and 6.52 seconds. Again, Chrzanowski met individual NCAA "B" cut standards with a 46.59 time during his 100-yard freestyle leg of the relay. His final individual NCAA "B" cut time came during his 50-yard freestyle leg with the 200-yard freestyle relay team. The team finished third with a time of 1:25.26 while Chrzanowski had a time of 21.07 seconds. He rounded out his weekend by helping the 200-yard medley relay team finish fifth with a time of one minute and 35.40 seconds.
