Biography

Goldcamp returns as Gannon’s biggest presence in the paint. The 6’10”, 230-pounder was accorded preseason All-America accolades by Street & Smith’s in October. He enters the season eighth all-time in school history with 79 career blocks despite playing only one season at Gannon.

The Pittsburgh, Pa., native transferred to Gannon from NCAA Division II Pitt-Johnstown prior to the 2007-08 season. Goldcamp is considered a tenacious competitor who runs the floor well. A lefthander, Goldcamp has a nice touch around the basket.

Junior Season: Was one of three Golden Knights to start every game ... named to the All-GLIAC first team and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-Great Lakes Region second team ... landed a spot on the GLIAC All-Defensive team ... performed at a high level in the classroom, being named to the NABC Honors Court, reserved for juniors and seniors with at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average ... was a member of the Gannon “A” Team last spring, reserved for Gannon student-athletes who achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during a semester ... ranked fifth among NCAA Division II players in field goal percentage (66.5) and 14th in blocked shots per game (2.5) ... led the GLIAC in both categories ... ranked fourth among GLIAC players in offensive rebounds per game (2.90), fifth in rebounds per game (8.0), seventh in defensive rebounds per game (5.13), and 13th in points per game (15.2) ... recorded the second-highest field goal percentage and fourth-most blocked shots in school history ... named to the Porreco Cup All-Tournament team after recording 31 points and 19 rebounds in two games ... was 12-of-15 from the field during the Porreco Cup ... named GLIAC Player of the Week on January 28 after scoring a season-high 28 points and grabbing 12 rebounds during a victory at Hillsdale ... had seven double-doubles ... reached double digits in scoring 26 times, including 15 of the last 16 contests ... tied a season-high with 28 points during a 73-56 victory over Drury (Mo.) in the NCAA Tournament first round, hitting 11-of-13 shots ... had one of his best performances of the season during a 66-61 victory over nationally-ranked Findlay, scoring 21 points and hauling down seven rebounds ... blocked nine Findlay shots in the second half.

2006-07 Season at UPJ: Averaged 10.3 points and 5.6 rebounds ... recorded 44 blocks, 23 steals, and 30 assists ... shot 61 percent (130-213) from the field ... ranked fourth in the WVIAC and 75th in NCAA Division II in blocks per game (1.5) ... reached double digits in scoring 18 times ... recorded two double-doubles.

2005-06 Season at UPJ: Averaged 11.5 points and 7.3 rebounds ... recorded 74 blocks, 20 steals, and 36 assists ... shot 59.9 percent (127-212) from the field ... was UPJ’s leading rebounder and second-leading scorer ... reached double digits in scoring 18 times ... recorded six double-doubles ... ranked seventh nationally in blocks per game (2.7) ... blocked seven shots against Northwood in the Gary Miller Classic.

High School: Played for head coach Chuck Crummie at Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School ... led Central Catholic to the WPIAL Section Championship over eventual State Champion Penn Hills ... helped team advance to PIAA Quad-A Quarterfinals in 2004 ... averaged 15 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks as a senior ... was a member of the National Honor Society and High Honor Roll ... averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 59.9 percent during his career.
