Gannon University Athletics

Batts will compete for playing time at point guard during his first season in a Gannon uniform. The junior transfer shoots the ball well and is an excellent defender. He transferred to Gannon during the off-season from the Community College of Beaver County and will have two years of eligibility left.

At Community College of Beaver County: Played for head coach Dan Derose ... named to the Thanksgiving all-tournament team.

High School: Played for head coach Paul Maljan at Penn-Trafford (Pa.) High School ... averaged 10 points and five assists while leading Steel Valley to the WPIAL championship as a sophomore ... transferred to Penn-Trafford for his final two years ... led Penn-Trafford in scoring both years ... named to the all-conference first team after averaging 15 points and nine assists as a junior ... selected to play in the Pittsburgh Hoops Classic after averaging 19 points and 10 assists as a senior ... earned all-conference first-team accolades as a senior.
