It was a sprint to the finish on day one of the 2025 PSAC Championship swimming meet. Traveling to York, PA, the Golden Knights saw several swimmers earn a spot in the final heats of Monday's action. Here are the full results from the first day finals:

Emmanuel Cisneros (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young Magnet) – 1,000 Freestyle – "A" Final – (8th, 9:48.54)

Ryan Barclay (Knoxville, Tenn./Bearden) – 1,000 Freestyle – "A" Final – (9th, 9:50.31)

Ethan Weigel (Cowansville, Pa./Armstrong)– 1,000 Freestyle – "B" Final – (18th, 10:11.81)

Will Retsch (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) – 200 IM – "A" Final – (4th, 1:51.57)

Jordan Denyer (Port Elizabeth, South Africa/Grey)  – 200 IM – "B" Final – (4th in heat, 12th overall, 1:54.20)

Hiyan Kubagawa (Sao Paulo, Brazil/) – 200 IM – "B" Final – (6th in heat, 14th overall, 1:54.65)

Dylan Ray (Pinckney, Mich./Pinckney Community) – 200 IM – "B" Final – (7th in heat, 15th overall, 1:55.42)

Nikita Pau Poparcea Greiter (Sant Carles de la Rapita, Spain) – 50 Freestyle– "A" Final – (6th, 20.76)

Connor Hebert (Damascus, Md./Damascus) – 50 Freestyle – "A" Final – (8th, 20.96 (PR))

Kuba Loboda (Lublin, Poland) – 50 Freestyle – "B" Final – (3rd in heat, 11th overall, 21.29)

Bengimin Ambrosiani (Seward, Alaska/Seward) – 50 Freestyle - "B" Final – (6th in heat, 14th overall, 21.34)

Nickolas Ambrosiani (Seward, Alaska/Seward) – 50 Freestyle - "B" Final – (8th in heat, 16th overall, 21.48)
 
800 Freestyle Relay: Ben Williams (Findlay, Ohio/Findlay), Cisneros, Poparcea Greiter, and Seth Butler (Maineville, Ohio/Little Miami) – (3rd (All-PSAC), 6:50.36)

The 800 freestyle relay earned All-PSAC honors with a third place finish. Gannon is currently in second place overall in the team standings heading into day two. 

The Golden Knights will continue championship competition tomorrow starting at 10:00 am. Events include the 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 freestyle, and 400 medley relay.
