The No. 16 Gannon men's soccer team earned another pair of conference weekly honors, as Rafa Hyde (São José dos Campos, Brazil/) was named PSAC West Athlete of the Week and Andre Moraes (Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil/Colegio Singular) was selected PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week.
The two awards mark the men's soccer program's eighth PSAC weekly recognition this season, with Hyde receiving the second weekly award of his career and Moraes earning his first.
Gannon's 3–0 win at Lock Haven on Saturday also clinched the top seed in the PSAC West, securing home-field advantage for the 2025 PSAC Men's Soccer Tournament. The Golden Knights will host the PSAC Semifinals on November 14 at McConnell Family Stadium.
Hyde totaled three goals and two assists across the two PSAC West victories. He tied his season-high with two goals and added an assist in a 7–0 win over Slippery Rock before scoring once and assisting another in the win at Lock Haven.
His performance also earned him national recognition, as he was named the TopDrawerSoccer Division II National Player of the Week.
Moraes helped guide Gannon to its third straight clean sheet, recording seven saves while finishing the week with a 1.000 save percentage and a 0.00 goals-against average. The Golden Knights have now posted seven clean sheets as a team this season.
Gannon enters the final match of the regular season on a six-match win streak, having outscored opponents 28–4 during that span. The Golden Knights close the regular season on Thursday, November 6, hosting California (Pa.) at 4:00 PM at McConnell Family Stadium.
