Gannon's season came to an end last Saturday with a loss at Super Region 1 No. 1 seed Southern New Hampshire in the Elite Eight. Head coach Billy Colton's team ended the year with a 15-3-4 record.

Orten and Rekka were named D2CCA All-Americans a day earlier, with Orten voted the 2025 D2CCA Men's Soccer Player of the Year. Rekka was named to the third team.

A midfielder from Orsta, Norway, Orten is now a two-time United Soccer Coaches All-Region selection who went on to earn first team All-American honors. Orten has climbed Gannon's career record book through the year and now stands second in career assists (46) and seventh in career points (116).

Rekka was one of an exciting group of freshmen Colton relied upon. A forward from Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he finished second on the team in scoring with 10 goals and 12 assists for 32 points.
