2024: Moraes made significant contributions to the Golden Knights in 2024, earning multiple postseason honors while stepping into the starting goalkeeper role…He was named the PSAC West First Team goalkeeper and received All-Atlantic Region Second Team honors…A redshirt sophomore from São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, Moraes transferred to Gannon after the previous season at CSU Bakersfield… He took over in goal when projected starter Samuel Alarcon, the 2023 First Team All-PSAC West goalkeeper, was sidelined for the season due to an offseason injury... Moraes seized the opportunity, posting a record of 12 wins, 2 losses, and 3 draws, with eight shutouts and a goals against average (GAA) of 0.82… He totaled 43 saves and finished with a save percentage of .754, ranking third in the PSAC in both GAA and shutouts per game…His season highlights included facing a season-high 21 shots against Franklin Pierce in the NCAA Tournament on November 24, during which he made eight saves, although he allowed a season-high three goals in that match… Moraes’ steady presence in goal was a key factor in Gannon’s defensive success, as he helped the Golden Knights achieve 10 shutouts and limit opponents to just 19 goals throughout the season… His contributions were instrumental in leading Gannon to an overall record of 14 wins, 4 losses, and 3 draws, as well as an appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
