ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon women's soccer team begins a stretch of three straight home games while extending its winning streak to four games, hosting California (Pa.) on Saturday, October 26. The match gets underway at 2:00 p.m. at McConnell Family Stadium.

The Golden Knights, ranked seventh in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25, improved to 9-0-3 on Wednesday with a 3-0 win at Daemen. They continued their remarkable play on defense posting their nine shutout and fourth in a row. They have allowed just four goals while scoring 29.

Gannon is tied for first in the PSAC West with Indiana (Pa.) with 21 points, although IUP has played one more contest. The Golden Knights are 6-0-3 in division play.

On Saturday they face a California (Pa.) that has been one of the three teams to play the Golden Knights to a stalemate. The two met eleven days ago on October 16 and played to a scoreless tie.

Gannon continues to rely on the sophomore tandem of Brooklyn Respecki (McKean, Pa./General McLane) and Grace Emanuel (Erie, Pa./McDowell). Respecki leads the Golden Knights with 10 goals and an assist while Emanuel adds seven goals and four assists.

The Golden Knights recently welcomed Ella Fadale (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) back. The junior midfielder missed more than a month with an injury and was promptly named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Edinboro last Saturday. She added a goal on Wednesday.

Morgan Sinan (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) has been nothing short of incredible in goal, aided by a staunch defense. The graduate student has a 0.37 GAA with six shutouts.
