The Gannon University women's golf team will conclude its fall season on Sunday and Monday in the Clarion Fall Invitational.
Coach
Scott Stano's Golden Knights will try to turn in a solid performance in the tournament at Pinecrest Country Club in Brookville to set the tone for the crucial spring season.
Gannon has had mixed results in the first five tournaments of the fall season. The Knights won Mercyhurst's season-opening Evann Parker Memorial tournament and placed second in Gannon's Michael Corbett Classic. Gannon junior
Sarah White (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) opened with an individual title in the Evann Parker Memorial.
However, the Golden Knights have finished seventh, ninth, and 14th respectively, in the next three events as the competition level rose.
In addition to Gannon and the host Golden Eagles, Clarion's eight-team tournament field is tentatively scheduled to include East Stroudsburg, Kutztown, Mercyhurst, Millersville, Ursuline, and West Chester.
PSAC women's golf teams compete in an abbreviated fall season before playing the more important fall season, which includes the PSAC Championships, NCAA Regionals, and NCAA Division II Championships.
