KUTZTOWN, PA - It's still a dynasty! Gannon women's golf continues to dominate the PSAC. The Golden Knights captured their seventh straight conference championship on Friday, edging out West Chester by eight strokes. Gannon had a sublime final round in which eight birdies were made, and held off the Golden Rams, who had taken a brief lead early in the day.

After a top five finish a year ago, Alexandria LeCureux (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) was the medalist, capturing the individual title out of a field of 64 golfers by shooting 11 over par and just one over for the final round. She was trailed just behind by teammate Anastasia Lopes (Noverasco di opera (MI), Italy/ISTITUTI DEAMICIS MILANO), who finished third. In fact, five of the top 12 placements belonged to Gannon. The Golden Knights had three competitors in the top ten.

Four of the five Gannon golfers shot in the 70's on the final day, and all but one climbed at least one spot on the leaderboard.

The Golden Knights, with momentum, will now prepare for the NCAA East Regional from May 4th-6th in Findlay, OH.

THE KNIGHT CAP

Alexandria LeCureux (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) (+1, 73) (+11 Overall)
When her best was required, her best shone through. Lecureux posted the best score of all Gannon golfers in the final round, ending with a one-over 73 and capturing the individual crown at 11 over par. She was five strokes ahead of the rest of the field. Her round began with a birdie at the par three third hole, and another birdie at the par for ninth followed. She would finish the front at one-under 34. In the final nine holes, LeCureux would birdie the par three 15th hole and go in at 39, finishing with a 73 and leaving a little doubt that her strongest round was the final round of the tournament. She is the medalist after a top five finish a year ago.

Anastasia Lopes (Noverasco di opera (MI), Italy/ISTITUTI DEAMICIS MILANO) (+10, 82) (+17 Overall)
Lopes would score an 82 in her final round, capping incredible first conference tournament as a freshman. She birdied the par four 17th and would finish tied for third in her first postseason start of her Gannon career.

Cloe Mateo (Sabadell, Spain/Montcau la Mola) (+7, 79) (+22 Overall)
Maybe one of the most impressive feats of the tournament was Mateo's back nine on Friday. The native of Spain would birdie the par four 11th hole, and shoot a 38 on the final nine holes to remain in the top 10 and shoot a 79 on Friday afternoon.  It is the second straight top 10 finish for Mateo at the conference championship meet.

Emily Donahue (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) (+6, 78) (+30 Overall)

Donahue showcase an impressive ability to fight back in the final round, carding a six-over 78 to conclude her tournament, finishing at 11th. Donahue would find birdies at the seventh and 15th holes and shoot just one over on the back nine.

Victoria Colmenares (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/ICL Academy) (+7, 79) (+31 Overall)

Colmenares would par six of the first nine holes of her round to shoot a 39 on the front line, the second best score of any Gannon golfer on that portion of holes in the final round. She would follow with a birdie on the 16th hole and end with a round of 79, one of four Golden Knights who shot in the 70's on Friday.
