LATROBE, Pa. – The Gannon men's swim team swept all 15 events during a dual meet at Saint Vincent College on Saturday afternoon in Latrobe. The Golden Knights won each of the 13 individual events and added two more first-place finishes in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Gannon dominated the team scoring at the event by a 202-50 final margin.
Andrew Smith (Johannesburg, South Africa/St. Benedict's) and
Hiyan Kubagawa (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led Gannon with two first-place finishes in individual events during the meet. Smith was first to touch the wall in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, while Kubagawa took first in the 200 butterfly and 200 IM. In all, 11 different Golden Knights took first place in individual events this afternoon. A full list of Gannon's top times/finishers are listed below.
Gannon will now have two weeks to prepare for a meet at NCAA Division I Youngstown State. The meet is set for a 12 noon start.
