  • The Short Story: The Gannon men's swimming team broke five Carneval Athletic Pavilion pool records and won 12 events in a dominating 176-71 win over Edinboro Friday night. Brent Benedict (Corry, Pa./Corry) continued his impressive season by winning four events, while Jon Ekas (Erie, Pa./McDowell), David Gallion (Arlington, Va./Homeschooled), Robert Bolmanski (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and Luke Engel (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) picked up multiple victories for the Golden Knights.

  • Bolmanski's mark in the 200-yard freestyle is also a new pool record (1:42.15).
  • The 200-yard freestyle relay of Ekas, Collins, Engel and Benedict also set a new Carneval Athletic Pavilion pool record with a time of 1:25.09.
  • The Golden Knights clocked 17 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying times.
