The Short Story: Gannon Acrobatics and Tumbling made history hosting the 2018 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championships, Thursday, April 26. The No. 5-seed Lady Knights competed in a hard-fought meet, coming up just short against No. 4-seed Oregon, 276.140-265.525, in front of a record-breaking Hammermill Center crowd.

  • Gannon was ranked No. 5 in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Championships. Oregon was tabbed No. 4 in the seeding.
  • The Lady Knight's fifth-seed at the NCATA Championships was the highest in program history.
  • Gannon also finishes the season tied for the most season-victories with five.
  • In one previous matchup this season, Gannon was edged in the closest meet in five seasons, 272.230-271.930, at Oregon on March 11.
  • The Lady Knights competed in front of the largest crowd in Gannon Acrobatics & Tumbling history, packing upwards of an estimated 1,450 fans into the Hammermill Center.

  • Gannon Acrobatics & Tumbling hopes to qualify numerous groups for the NCATA Individual Event National Championships coming up on Saturday, April 28.
  • The top four scores from each heat in Thursday's quarterfinals along with one at-large bid from non-championship teams will compete for individual championships beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
  • The qualifying heats have yet to be released.
