FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The No. 7 Gannon Acrobatics & Tumbling team pushed No. 4 Fairmont State on its Senior Day and to its highest score of the season but came up just short Sunday evening inside Feaster Center.

Gannon delivered one of its strongest overall performances of the season, finishing with a 267.550 total, its third-highest team score of the year, while setting multiple season highs across several events.

At halftime, the Golden Knights trailed by just 0.450, posting 96.000 compared to Fairmont State's 96.450, keeping the meet tight early.

The meet remained razor close heading into the Team Event, with Gannon holding a 179.550 score compared to Fairmont State's 179.575.

The Falcons pulled away in the final event, posting a 91.750 to Gannon's 88.000 to secure the Senior Day victory.

The Golden Knights posted a season-best score in the Acro event (29.000), highlighted by a 9.600 in the 6-element heat. Gannon also recorded a season-high 54.550 in the Tumbling event, including strong performances in the trio pass (9.250), quad pass (8.350), and open pass (9.825).
