ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon volleyball team hosts the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East-West Crossover September 18-19 at the Hammermill Center.
The Lady Knights play Cheyney at 7 p.m. Friday. Saturday, GU faces Kutztown at noon and then West Chester in a 2 p.m. contest.

Gannon (8-2) has won four straight matches, including a sweep of three West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) opponents September 11-12. The Knights beat Alderson-Broaddus Friday and then defeated West Virginia Wesleyan and Wheeling Jesuit Saturday.
Courtney Cook (Middleburg Heights, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) was named PSAC West player of the week, as she recorded 34 kills, 21 blocks, and a .397 hitting percentage in GU's four contests.
Cheyney is 0-4 in 2009. The Wolves are led by senior setter Manoucheca Julce, who has 13 kills and nine assists.
Kutztown has won six of its first seven matches this season. Katie Miller led the team with 292 kills in 2008, when the Golden Bears went 15-16.
West Chester has started 2009 with a 7-1 mark. Michelle Powers has recorded 92 kills for the Golden Rams. In 2008, West Chester went 24-10.
California (Pa.), Indiana (Pa.), Mercyhurst, and Edinboro are the other sites for this weekend's event. The Western Division hosts crossovers in odd-numbered years, while the East hosts even-numbered years.
