Lauren Atwell (Mars, Pa./Mars Area) has been recognized as the PSAC West Athlete of the Week after leading the Golden Knights to a perfect 3–0 week and extending the team's win streak to nine straight matches.

The award marks the first weekly accolade of Atwell's career and the third earned by the Gannon women's volleyball program this season.

Atwell helped the Golden Knights to a 3–0 week, beginning with a non-conference sweep of Daemen before picking up back-to-back PSAC West road victories at Clarion and Slippery Rock.

She totaled 30 kills (2.50 per set) while hitting an impressive .529 for the week, committing only three errors on 51 total attacks. Atwell also added 13 total blocks (1.08 per set) and finished with 39.0 points (3.25 per set).

Her standout performance came in Gannon's five-set comeback win at Slippery Rock, where she tied her season and career-high with 13 kills and recorded nine total blocks, marking a new season-high and finishing just one shy of her career-best 10 blocks, which also came against the Rock last season.

With Atwell leading the charge, the Golden Knights extended its winning streak to nine straight matches and remained unbeaten in PSAC West play (5–0). The Golden Knights improved to 14–4 overall, sitting atop the Western Division standings.
