Hancy is expected to compete for time on the mound as a senior in 2017 … transferred from Niagara County (N.Y.) Community College prior to the 2015-16 academic year.

2016: Made four relief appearances … named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete … received the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award … made his Gannon debut with a scoreless inning of relief during a 17-1 victory against Wheeling Jesuit at the Russ-Matt Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida … followed with another scoreless inning later that week during a 14-3 win against the University of Mary … didn’t allow a run during three of his four outings.

At Niagara County CC: Played for head coach Matt Clingersmith … was the teammate of fellow Golden Knights Joey and Mike Colosi … named to the all-conference honorable-mention squad as a freshman … helped Niagara County advance to the regional final four twice.

High School: Played for William Rasmussen at Rush Henrietta (N.Y.) High School … helped Rush Henrietta advance to the sectional championship two years in a row.

Personal: Sports Management major … is the son of Michelle and Michael … has one sister.
