Biography

Oruch is one of Gannon’s returning starters in the outfield for the fourth consecutive season as a senior in 2018.

2017: Saw action in 30 games, starting 28 in center field … batted in six different positions of the lineup, including 15 starts in the second spot … tied for the team lead in stolen bases (5) … hit .435 (10-23) against left-handers, .375 (18-48) with runners on base and .406 (13-32) with runners in scoring position … reached base 50 percent (12-24) of the time when leading off an inning … drove home a run 90 percent (9-10) of the time when hitting with a runner on third base and less than two outs … recorded seven multiple-hit games and two multiple-RBI performances … opened the season with a six-game hit streak … hit .458 (11-24) with six runs, four RBIs, three doubles and two stolen bases during the early streak … scored multiple runs in a game three times … was perfect in four at-bats with one RBI, one double and one stolen base against LIU Post … ended the season with 19 consecutive games without an error, spanning 48 fielding opportunities.
