Biography

Cricks is one of Gannon’s returning starters on the mound for the fourth consecutive season in 2018 … enters his senior campaign fourth all-time at Gannon since 2000 in victories (12), eighth in games started (27), eighth in innings pitched (154), 11th in complete games (7), 11th in strikeouts (86) and 15th in appearances (33).

2017: Made nine appearances on the mound, all starts … named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete … led Gannon with five victories, representing the 16th-highest single-season total in school history … finished third among Golden Knights in starts, innings pitched (44.2) and strikeouts (33) … named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Pitcher of the Week on April 11 after going 2-0 with a 2.08 earned run average and .190 opponent batting average in two starts … limited Indiana (Pa.) and Pitt-Johnstown to a .188 average (3-16) with runners in scoring position and .154 mark (2-13) with two outs while lowering his earned run average 154 points during the award-winning week … went six innings during a 10-1 victory against Indiana (Pa.), allowing one run on four hits with four strikeouts … recorded his second complete game with seven innings during a 3-2 win against Pitt-Johnstown, surrendering two runs on four hits … won his first two decisions of the season, including a complete-game victory against Wheeling Jesuit at the Russ-Matt Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida … allowed two runs on five hits during a 3-2 win against the Cardinals, striking out four and walking none … struck out at least four hitters during six of nine starts … earned the win during five of his first seven appearances.

2016: Saw action in 13 games, starting 11 … tied for the team lead in games started … finished second among Golden Knights with five victories, representing the 16th-highest single-season total in program history … limited right-handers to a .245 average (40-163) … allowed the opposition to only hit .250 (29-116) with the bases empty and .200 (13-65) with two outs … named PSAC Western Division Pitcher of the Week on April 18 after tossing six shutout innings during a 2-0 victory against Slippery Rock … allowed only a fourth-inning single against the Rock, striking out five and walking two … won his final two games at the Russ-Matt Invitational, allowing two runs in six innings during a 3-2 victory against Cleary and three runs in 5 1/3 innings during a 15-3 win against the University of Mary … added regular-season victories against Pitt-Johnstown and Slippery Rock … tossed a one-hit shutout through six innings during a 2-0 home victory against Slippery Rock … struck out five and walked two against the Rock … earned the victory during a 4-3 win against Shippensburg at the PSAC Tournament with three scoreless relief innings, surrendering only two hits … struck out at least four hitters in a game five times … opened the campaign with a season-high six strikeouts during each of his first two appearances … allowed three runs or less during 10 of 13 appearances.

2015: Made 11 appearances as a true freshman, starting seven … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … led Gannon in appearances … finished third on the team in earned run average, third in victories, third in complete games (4), fourth in starts, fourth in innings pitched (47.1) and fourth in strikeouts … limited left-handers to a .250 average (13-52) … made his collegiate debut during a 10-5 victory at Limestone (S.C.), tossing 1 1/3 scoreless innings … won his first two career decisions … made his first career start against Lewis (Ill.), pitching six scoreless innings during a 5-2 victory … ended the season-opening Russ-Matt Invitational with a complete-game 3-2 victory against St. Joseph’s (Ind.) … surrendered only one earned run on six hits while striking out two Pumas … named ECAC Rookie of the Week after his spring-trip performance … finished 2-0 with a 0.63 ERA in 14 1/3 innings during the trip … struck out a season-high four hitters in five innings during the second game of a home doubleheader against Clarion … concluded the season with a scoreless inning of relief against Indiana (Pa.).
