Wagner is expected to compete for playing time as an outfielder in 2017.

2016: Saw action in 16 games, starting three … started two games as a designated hitter and one in right field … batted eighth during two starts and ninth once … recorded hits during his first two appearances … produced a hit, two runs, one double and one RBI during a 17-1 victory against Wheeling Jesuit at the Russ-Matt Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida in his first start of the season … had a pinch-hit RBI single during a 15-3 win against the University of Mary at the invitational … saw playing time as an outfielder, pinch hitter, pinch runner and designated hitter … was errorless in all 16 games, spanning 10 fielding opportunities.

2015: Played in two games … was hit by a pitch as a pinch hitter at Pitt-Johnstown and scored … saw action as a defensive substitution at Slippery Rock.

2014: Saw action in 10 games as a true freshman, starting nine in right field … batted ninth in the line-up six times and eighth three times … hit .333 (7-21) against right-handers, .455 (5-11) with runners on base, .444 (4-9) with runners in scoring position and .333 (2-6) with two outs … reached base 50 percent (4-8) of the time when leading off an inning … made his collegiate debut as a pinch runner against Slippery Rock … made his first start during a 5-0 shutout at Clarion … went 2-for-2 with two walks and one RBI during the nightcap against the Golden Eagles … scored his first career run during a 6-3 victory against nationally-ranked Seton Hill … went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and one double at Indiana (Pa.) … recorded a hit during five of his nine starts.

High School: Played for head coach Chris Kaczmar at Walsh Jesuit (Ohio) High School … hit .280 with one home run as a senior … earned second honors all four years … received the Bob Otey Unsung Warrior and Class Act awards … helped Walsh Jesuit win back-to-back North Coast League championships as a junior and senior … advanced to the Division II state championship game as a sophomore … was part of nationally-ranked teams as a sophomore and junior, including the top ranking in the country from April 18-May 11, 2010 … finished No. 2 in the final state poll as a sophomore … was part of four 20-win seasons … received the Perfect Attendance award.
