High School … was a four-year letterwinner … served as a team captain during his final two seasons … named Small School Offensive Player of the Year as a senior … selected Player of the Week after the eighth game during his senior campaign … named to the Small School All-Conference first team as a junior quarterback … was part of four straight winning seasons … helped Northwest Area qualify for the Eastern Conference Championships as a freshman and sophomore … was part of a Northwest Area program that qualified for back-to-back district championships, finishing runner-up as a senior … started 34 varsity games at quarterback … threw for 4,100 yards and 43 touchdowns … added over 10 rushing touchdowns and six two-point conversion passes … recorded 12 interceptions on defense … was a three-sport athlete, participating with the wrestling and baseball teams … lettered four times with the wrestling team … served as a wrestling team captain as a junior and senior … was a three-time state qualifier at 195 pounds … finished fourth at the state championships as a senior and fifth as a junior … named to the Wyoming Valley Conference first team in baseball.
