2015: Hopkins is expected to compete for playing time at defensive back as a junior … transferred to Gannon from St. Augustine’s (N.C.) University prior to the 2015 academic year.

2014: Played every game at St. Augustine’s … was the team’s sixth-leading tackler with 45 stops … recorded 29 solo tackles and 16 assisted stops … had seven passes defended, intercepting two passes and breaking up five … made 1.5 tackles for a loss … had at least two tackles in every game … recorded a season-high 11 tackles against Fayetteville State … produced six solo tackles against Virginia State … had at least five tackles in a game five times … intercepted passes against Fayetteville State and Shaw.

2013: Saw action in every game at St. Augustine’s as a true freshman … was the program’s fifth-leading tackler with 43 stops … recorded 25 solo tackles and 18 assisted stops ... had eight passes defended, intercepting one and breaking up seven … had 2.5 tackles for a loss that resulted in a loss of four yards … produced five tackles during his first career game against North Carolina Central … recorded a season-high seven tackles against Livingstone … intercepted his first career pass against Bowie State.

High School: Played for head coach Mike Dougherty at Stonewall Jackson (Va.) High School … was a two-time all-district selection as a junior and senior … earned all-region accolades as a junior and senior.

Personal: Sport and Exercise Science major … has two sisters … is the son of Monalisa and Dale.
