2015: Benesh returns as Gannon's starting long snapper for the fourth consecutive season.

2014: Saw action in every game for the third consecutive season … was Gannon’s primary long snapper … anchored the special team’s line that allowed only one blocked punt … was part of a punt team that ranked fourth among Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) programs in punt return defense (6.50) … recorded tackles against Clarion and Mercyhurst.

2013: Played in every game … was Gannon’s primary long snapper … worked on a special team’s line that allowed zero blocked punts and only two blocked field goals … helped Gannon rank third among PSAC teams and 37th nationally in net punting (35.39) … made a tackle at Indiana (Pa.).

2012: Saw action in every game as a true freshman, serving primarily as Gannon's long snapper … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … excelled on the special team's line that allowed only two blocks in 64 punt attempts and only one block in 12 field goal attempts  ... recovered a fumble against Indiana (Pa.) on a punt return.

High School: Played for head coach Rick Finotti at St. Edward (Ohio) High School ... was a two-year varsity letterwinner ... named Most Improved Special Teams Player as a senior ... helped St. Edward post a perfect record (15-0) en route to the Division I State championship as a junior ... was part of a 2010 team that was ranked second nationally by Rivals.com ... helped St. Edward win 21 consecutive games as a junior and senior ... advanced to the second round of the playoffs as a senior ... was a member of the National Honor Society ... received the Student of the Year award in five different subjects.

Personal: Mechanical Engineering major ... has one sister … is the son of Kathi and Thomas … served as the President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for two years … is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and the Gannon Dean’s List.
