2015: Wiechelt returns as one of Gannon’s starting linebackers.

2014: Started every game … was Gannon’s fourth-leading tackler with 58 stops … ranked second on the team in assisted tackles (41), third in tackles for a loss (5.5) and third in sacks (3.5) … began the campaign with a season-high 10 tackles against Southern Connecticut State … matched his season-high with 10 more stops against Mercyhurst … recorded his first career interception to go along with six tackles and one sack at Slippery Rock … added a second interception two weeks later at Edinboro … produced five tackles, one sack and two pass break-ups during a victory against Indiana (Pa.) that clinched a share of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division regular-season title … recorded at least one tackle in every game … made at least four stops in eight of 10 contests … produced a tackle for a loss in six of 10 games … had a sack in four of the last seven contests.

2013: Played in every game, starting five … started four consecutive contests against Slippery Rock, Clarion, Bloomsburg and Edinboro … finished second among Golden Knights in sacks (4), second in tackles for a loss (9), fourth in assisted tackles (30) and fifth in total tackles (45) … recorded at least three  tackles during each of the final nine games … had a season-best seven tackles and his first 1.5 career sacks at Clarion … produced multiple sacks again during the regular-season finale at Lock Haven … finished the Mercyhurst game with six tackles, including a season-high four solo stops … posted five tackles against Bloomsburg and Lock Haven … recovered a fumble against Slippery Rock.

2012: Saw action during the first five games of the season, starting one … recorded his first career tackle during a season-opening victory against Lake Erie … made his first career start against Clarion, producing season-highs in total tackles (4) and assisted tackles (3) … posted his first career tackle for a loss against the Golden Eagles … recorded a tackle during four of the five contests he played in.

2011: Redshirted.

High School: Played for head coach Brian Wilson at Depew (N.Y.) High School ... named Section B Player of the Year ... earned All-Western New York second-team honors ... recorded 117 tackles, one interception and three sacks as a senior … named to the all-star first team ... received the Frank Consitino Athletic Scholarship Award ... earned the Section 6 Pit Bull award ... selected to play in the Lions All-Star Game … served as a team captain … helped Depew win back-to-back divisional titles as a junior and senior … was a member of the merit roll ... received the attendance award.
