ERIE, PA - Gannon seniors
Amy Poole (Walston, Pa./Punxsutawney Area) (women's cross country) &
Brendan Koroly (Mars, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) (baseball) have both been selected as recipients of the 2026 Bud Elwell Scholarship.
This award is given out each year to two student-athletes who exemplify exceptional leadership on and off the field of competition. Recipients also meet high academic standards and are consistently present in community service.
Poole will graduate with a degree in Environmental Engineering. She has been named to the Dean's List multiple times during her college career and was named captain of the cross country team this past season. She has also served as her teams Student Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C) representative for three years and also serves as the social chair for the Society of Women's Engineering.

Koroly, a Finance major, will graduate this spring with a host of academic success. He has been named to the Dean's List five times and is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma National Honors Society. He has also serves as the team captain for baseball in three of his four seasons. Koroly represents his team in S.A.A.C and is active in his team's bible study group, a group he helped to create.
