To be eligible for Academic All-District® honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and either compete in 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent of contests. Pitchers must either make at least 17 appearances or pitch 35 innings.
Stangelo, a Nursing major with a 3.66 cumulative grade point average, played a key role behind the plate for the Golden Knights throughout the 2026 season. He helped guide Gannon to a 24-23 overall record and a berth in the 2026 PSAC Baseball Tournament.
Academic All-District® qualifiers advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with honorees announced on Tuesday, June 23rd.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, while the NAIA program is supported through the NAIA governance structure.
