With January action in full swing, Gannon Athletics heads into another pivotal week highlighted by a nationally ranked men's basketball showdown, a home tri-match for men's wrestling, and key conference competition across multiple sports. The Golden Knights will host marquee events inside the Highmark Events Center while also taking on important PSAC road tests as winter seasons move deeper into conference play.

The NCAA announced that Acrobatics & Tumbling, along with 51 other institutions, will officially compete at the NCAA Championships for the first time in 2027. Gannon introduced the Acrobatics & Tumbling program in 2014 and will be among the inaugural participants in the championship. With the addition of Acrobatics & Tumbling, the sport becomes the 93rd championship officially recognized by the NCAA, marking a significant milestone for both the Golden Knights and the sport nationally.

Wednesday, January 21 vs. No. 2 Daemen – 7:00 pm (Blackout • Season Ticket Appreciation Night)
Saturday, January 24 at Pitt-Johnstown – 3:00 pm
The No. 13 Gannon men's basketball team returns to the Highmark Events Center on Wednesday night for one of the most anticipated games of the season, hosting No. 2 Daemen in a Blackout game that will also serve as Season Ticket Appreciation Night. The nationally ranked matchup highlights a crucial stretch of PSAC play as the Golden Knights look to defend home court against one of the top teams in Division II. The Wildcats enter the contest unbeaten at 20–0 on the season.
Gannon will then hit the road on Saturday, January 24, traveling to Pitt-Johnstown for a 3:00 p.m. conference matchup, where the Golden Knights will look to pick up their 10th PSAC win.
Men's Wrestling (7-1)
Thursday, January 23 – Highmark Events Center
After picking up two PSAC victories last weekend—defeating Shippensburg 39–3 on Friday night and Millersville 40–0 on Saturday—the No. 7 Gannon men's wrestling team improved to 7–1 on the season in duals.
Tom Boyd's squad will return home on Thursday to host a Gannon tri-match inside the Highmark Events Center.
East Stroudsburg and West Liberty will open the action with a dual at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Golden Knights taking on East Stroudsburg at 5:00 p.m. Gannon will then close the evening against West Liberty.
Men's & Women's Swimming (Women's Swimming - 2-3, Men's Swimming - 4-1)
Friday, January 23 at Edinboro - 6:00 pm
The men's and women's swimming programs are back in action Friday night with a 6:00 p.m. meet against Edinboro as January competition continues and the championship portion of the season approaches.
The Golden Knights enter the week after dominantly celebrating Senior Day. The women's team earned convincing victories over Malone (211–59) and Oberlin (216–70), while the men's squad defeated Oberlin (205–99) and Malone (229–43).
Gannon will wrap up PSAC action on Friday evening with a 6:00 p.m. meet against Edinboro.

Women's Wrestling (7-7)
Saturday, January 24 – Journeyman Duals | Albany, N.Y. (All Day)
Erin Vandiver's women's wrestling team returns to action on Saturday, January 24, competing in the Journeyman Duals in Albany, New York. Similar to the NWCA National Duals, the event features a strong national field and provides a high-level test as the Golden Knights continue through the heart of the season.
Gannon enters the weekend with a 7–7 dual record. Sophomore
Bella Phillips (Bellingham, Wash./Squalicum High School), ranked No. 8 in Division II at 180 pounds, has been a key contributor for the Golden Knights. Phillips owns a 21–6 record on the season, recording one fall and tying for a team-high 11 technical falls.
Women's Basketball (17-2, 9-1 PSAC)
Saturday, January 24 at Pitt-Johnstown – 1:00 pm
Women's Basketball has just one game on the schedule this week, wrapping up play on Saturday afternoon with a PSAC road matchup at Pitt-Johnstown. After dropping its first PSAC game of the season in a nationally ranked battle with No. 8 IUP on Saturday,
Cleve Wright's No. 13 Golden Knights will take a brief breather before returning to action in Johnstown in pursuit of their 10th PSAC win.
