Golden Knights in Fourth Place after Opening Round-Plus at ODU NC4K Classic

GROVE CITY, Ohio – The Gannon women's golf team endured a long day of golf and changing weather conditions on Monday on the opening day of the ODU NC4K Classic at Pinnacle Golf Club.

With a low of 22 forecast overnight and frost expected, the 16 competing teams played the first round of 18 holes the returned to the course to begin the second round. The teams got in as many holes as they could before play was suspended at 7:30 p.m.

Four of Gannon's golfers were able to complete nine holes and two more finished seven holes. Victoria Colmenares (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/ICL Academy), playing as an individual, completed eight holes.

The teams will return to the course at 12 noon on Tuesday to finish the remainder of the final 18 holes.
