Petersen Finishes 12th at Findianapolis Intercollegiate

LACONIA, Ind. – It was a good news bad news type of day for the Gannon women's golf team as it wrapped up play in the Findianapolis Intercollegiate. Facing a strong field the Golden Knights shaved 14 stroked off their best round from Monday, moving up two spots in the team standings, but had to settle for seventh-place showing in the ten-team field.

Findlay concluded an impressive performance as the Oilers played the final 18 holes at Chariot Run Golf Course at 292 to finish with a 54-hole total of +18 882. That was 29 strokes better than second place Missouri St. Louis (311 +47). Gannon ended with a 54-hole total of 961, 97-over par.

Findlay's Erin Mulcahy rallied from two strokes down after 36 holes to win by five strokes. She shot a 69 for a two-day total of 1-under 215.

Ditte Petersen (Dianalund, Denmark/Sorø Akademi Skole) paced the Golden Knights. The two-time PSAC Athlete of the Year followed up rounds of 78 and 77 with a 75 on Tuesday for a 14-over total of 230. She moved up two spots to finish in 12th place. She had four of Gannon's nine birdies on the day.
Andrea Martinez (Tarragona, Spain/Col·legi Vedruna Sagrat Cor) was one of the biggest movers on the day after shooting a 76. Martinez climbed ten spots to a tie for 37th.

The Golden Knights return to action on Monday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 8 at the NC4K Classic in Grove City, Ohio.
