Two Golden Knights Named to 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District® Team

ERIE, Pa. -- Two members of the Gannon University women's basketball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team.

Tori Mayes (Lake City, Pa./Cathedral Prep) and Mia Slater (Canberra, Australia/Canberra Grammar School) are Gannon's 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District® honorees. Both are sophomores. Mayes is a Nursing major with a 3.876 GPA while Slater is a Public Service and Global Affairs major with a 3.740 GPA.

Both played a key role in Gannon's 28-7 finish as the Golden Knights won the Atlantic Regional and advanced to the Elite Eight for the second straight year.

Mayes played in 34 games and started 20 games at point guard. She finished with 44 assists and 20 steals.

Slater came off the bench as a post player and averaged 4.8 ppg. and 3.9 rpg. while playing in 32 games. The native of Australia matched her career high with 10 rebounds in Gannon's quarterfinal loss to Grand Valley State.
